Dehradun has been shortlisted in the Smart Cities challenge by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

The Dehradun Municipal Corporation hereby invites citizens to come forward and share their opinions about the issues and bottlenecks plaguing the city and suggest their vision along with innovative, sustainable and SMART solutions with regard to the following Area-Based Strategies:

• Retrofitting (Planning and improvement of infrastructure in an existing built-up area).
• Redevelopment (Replacement of existing built-up area and co-creation of new layout with enhanced infrastructure).
• Greenfield Development (planning and development in new areas)

Dehradun Municipal Corporation is looking forward to the valuable suggestions and continued support of all Dehradun citizens in this endeavor.

Smart city should be-1. Wide roads 2. Scatter buildings 3. All important offices in one row say banks 4.constructed buildings should be at least five storied 6. Police cars not jeep 7 . Beautification of city like lights, parks, plantation, churches should be under Government of India Endowment Act 8.beautification of religious and tourism spots 9.complete digital 10. Helicopter taxis, shopping mall for small and big size business at important places, Women shopping mall, nonveg items malls,
